It's coming to our neck of the woods next week and all the roads around will be closed off with a night of celebrations in Bolton so I'm staying out of the way of the traffic chaos that will undoubtedly happen.
Anyone seen the torch yet??

I have, in my kitchen draw. 
I had one the other day under the car so i could clean the exhaust

No, its not that far north yet, think the nearest to me would be Bowness. Wonder if there is a map of which towns/cities ect, will have a look.

Didn't you all see that it went out in Bideford. I shone so bright it gave up and went out in my home town! Don't mess with the Zed's!

It comes past the bottom of our street on the 31st May and I'm off that day. I may pop out for a look if the weathers ok.

Don't mention the torch!
We have a live TV broadcast outside one of our buildings on the 1st June for a big event in Liverpool City centre. Cat 1 security cordon so its going to be a pain in the backside with police crawling around and searches etc....
To make it worse I'm abraod for the actual event on the 1st June so all of the hassle organising but none of the benefits of using my free tickets [-(

July the 4th, passes right by the place I'm working at that day....
Years 7 - 10 at my sons school were marched down to RWB High Street. They spent 2 1/2 hours outside in 25 degrees, in direct sunlight. Seems pretty daft really, surprised no one passed out or got sunstroke...
He was pretty unimpressed by the event, and said he would rather have stayed in lessons! :-o

I'm told that some schools on Bolton are organizing children to be at the wave off as it leaves Bolton after it's overnight stay..... At 6 o'clock in the morning !!!! Not sure how many children or parents will be impressed getting up at 5.
