Looking to get a set of new tyres over next few months once we can get out again, to those that have the Avon ZV7's what are your opinion regarding handing, braking and wet grip?

Any other viable options, I don't think this car will benefit from premium tyres due to suspension.

Had them on previous cars and no issues whatsoever.

I have a set on my summer wheels :scorecard:
They'll be good in the wet then Andy... ;)

Most of us only have experience of a small number, maybe one or two tyre brands and types. As a consequence, our experience tends to be rather limited, and, as a consequence, rather biased. That applies to the reviews and marks on tyre websites. Many of us have favourites without experience of many.

Only when we get a clear change in handling can we give a recommendation - I moved from Vredsteins to Pilot Sport 4. The difference really was night and day in all conditions. They are not cheap but I felt safe in both dry and extreme wet. Am sure that others like the AV7 are equally as good. That said, the often quoted "You get what you pay for" probably holds. It is always a balance between cost and performance.

Living in the wettest County in England I can confirm that my "summer" tyres perform great in the wet. Had a dry day once, also performed well =))
