Hey there everybody quick question I’m considering doing a widebody conversion in the rear on my sbc swapped z3

I have the opportunity to buy the bumper rear quarters and trunk from a z3m would this be all that’s really necessary give or take for the conversion?

You'll need rocker panels (we call them sills)

The plastic covers undern the fenders.

I think the rear trailing arms are wider. Longer drive shafts. You could maybe get away without doing fhe suspension but the bigger Z3's also have extra strengthening welded on to the trailing arms which is likely there for a reason so you ought to check it out.

@Duncodin is correct. The drive shafts are different and when you put your wheels back on they will sit far inside the wheel arches. Either get some wider, low offset wheels to fill it out or factor in some sizeable wheel spacers to bring them out closer or it’ll look weird.
