Usual surf around the bay and found a guy that specialises in only a few cars. TVR's Lancias and Z3's. You can turn up and remove and fit stuff yourself if you are close.

Search fleabagmonkeyface as a seller. Prices are reasonable and negotiable.
Please dont take the parts I need! o_O

I have to say that it is very unusual, and probably not strictly legal for a breaker to allow the public into their premises to take parts off cars, even if it is posted " At your own risk" this disclaimer is meaningless. For a long time now around here you have had to go into the "shop" and buy parts , previously removed (and cleaned), over the counter.
This is another part of Health and Safety gone mad IMHO. I used to spend hours wandering round the "scrappy" looking for bits and bobs, it was a lot of fun. Alas, consigned to the past now.:(

I have purchased several smaller items from this seller and always as advertised and quick delivery even though he says he can be pretty slow. JIM

Tony.

Tony, the scrappy I bought my wheels from was happy for me to climb amongst his selection of Z's and work away, you're no doubt correct, but like you I hope you're not :)

I have spent many an hour rummaging around the local scrap yards. Pity yet again the any state has stopped the fun. I have emailed the said seller mentioned above and he seems very good at parts, but can be a little on the expensive side for some bits.

I used this guy (fleabagmonkeyface) a couple of weeks back and bought some replacement door cards from him from eBay. He lives in Marlborough in Wiltshire. I had some issues with my pay pal account and he was very accommodating in me paying cash and very trust worthy for me to collect without him being there.

I had a long discussion with him about our forum and he knew of us and is keen to offer help on parts, so I would suggest if anyone is interested then make contact with him. He seems genuine and was honest enough to say on large parts and delivery this may be an issue, but hey if your happy to collect and see our lovely county of Wiltshire he's worth a call.

I would have no issues on using him again.

I know what you mean @pgunter I suppose it all depends on what you are looking for especially if it's more mechanical parts rather than trim parts and what size pockets you have!! Nothing better than a good haggle!
I must admit I made him an offer on the door cards as I only really wanted the 1 and was surprised my offer was accepted. I think if more of us mention were from the forum he may realise he has a new outlet? And adjust his pices?

This is news to me, i was told he doesn't allow anyone to visit the farm where he keeps the cars so collected the £300 parts from his home. Emailed another long list of parts to him with no response and even phone calls I've found him non responsive. So have given up with him.

I must admit I also collected from his home address, unaware he has a top secret farm location=))
That's a shame he let himself down on your second order:mad:
I've only used him the once and I too would be disappointed if I got that response.

Time will tell then if he's a reliable source of parts, let's hope other forum members can keep us all updated on the fleabagmonkeyface !!
