Hi Everyone

Before I start Merry Christmas to everybody. A couple of questions if I may.

Firstly I have just had two wheels refurbished still cant drive the car properly after 11 years ownership. I have been looking at ways of protecting my wheels due to my lack of ability. I was looking at Rim Ringz or Alloygators has anyone used them or have any experience of them?

Secondly I would like to add cruise control. I think mine is fly by wire but I am not sure how to check. My car was built in June 2000, any advice gratefully received.

Enjoy the break (if you are not working)

Regards

Jim

Hi @leach62 you can add cruise quite simply in your 2000. There is a thread that tells you which parts you'll need just search the archives. It's much simpler in your case than my 97 where I need a pile of parts to add it in. HTH
Sorry never tried the rim protectors but surely someone here has and will be along to answer your questions.
Merry Christmas from Canada!! JIM

Hi Oldcarrman

Thanks for your response. Mine is an M52 so I am assuming it is not fly by wire? Which I think means it is far more complicated and not sure I am capable of doing it myself?

Regards Jim

you could try dumping the front wheels and convert it to a trike, that way you wont curb the fronts as you would only have one and that one would be within the confines of the body, cool eh.
on a more serious note, doesn't this just enable you to justify getting new wheels every few years win win.

i think the m54 is the fly by wire.
