According interweb P0340 is the inlet cam sensor P-369 is the exhaust cam sensor and P1619 is the electrical connection in the thermostat which I gather is a heater for the thermostat prob need a new thermostat but mine has been like it for ages.

ok Brian water temp and level seems ok ,so will keep my eye on it ;
just priced up bmw for the inlet and outlet sensors and add up to £217.00 as showing intermittent fault and seems to run great then its flat, unless you accelerate but low down torque in higher gears flat ,
was going to get off eBay but so many to choose think l should bite the bullet and get the proper ones ,
thanks for your help and answers

The thermostat sensor does supply a signal to the ECU just been reading up and so does the sensor for the temp gauge. See my thread on M54 engine running probably and @t-tony got OEM quality sensor.
Good luck sorting

Afternoon! Well even though I've changed the sensor out and it's running better than it was, it still seems to be running rough. I notice it more when I'm sat at the lights waiting to move off, it seems to be spluttering and gurgling away. I've read the codes and there's none available to me, plugs look good, any other ideas? Cheers

If you haven't done so already I would check air intake hoses for signs of cracking. Could be drawing in unmetered air. Stick your head under the bonnet and have a listen for whistling noises around the intake / throttle body. Not sure if yours will have one but I found a blanking tube on the throttle body that was split. Made idling a lot smoother when repaired.
