Wanted Airbag ECU - Part Numbers 8386192 / 6908896

After loads of works done to understand what is causing my airbag light ( post - 78093 ) and taking it to a BMW specialist for a diagnosis where they tried to code the light out ( airbag always on ) without much success, I am lead to believe that it might be worth trying to replace the airbag ECU .

Does anybody have an airbag ECU with the brown connector ? I believe they go by Part Numbers 8386192 / 6908896 .

There are numerous ECU air bag modules fitted to the various Z3's.. I suggest you go on realoem and put your vehicles VIN in and it will tell you the one fitted originally to yours

Thank you . I have actually removed my ECU already and it is Part Number 8386192 - RealOEM says 6908896 .

192's are rare - I've literally just sold one as well.

I sold it for £100 which was cheap.

However, I've got a couple of 6908896's which have the brown connector plug.

192's were used on early facelift cars, mid '99 to 2000. What's the VIN of your car - last seven will do. Does it have door airbags and/or a passenger front airbag?
