Hi
Just wondered if it is normal, when you accelerate & get up to a good speed. Then take your foot of the accelerator, the front end of the car feels really light. Is this because there needs to be more down thrust.

Any idea's

What engine do you have? The 6 cylinders are heavier front end than the 1.9. I've had no trouble with mine.

He has the 2.8 are you comparing it to another car perhaps? I am guessing here but perhaps the power steering is misbehaving? What are your tires and links like? If it's not mechanical..... perhaps take a drive in someone else's and let them try yours. Good luck.

As you take your foot off, the weight is transferred foward so it definitely shouldn't feel light. Might be that weight transfer is causing problems with bad bushes or balljonts.

at that speed you will be getting a fair bit of front end lift which makes the steering go light

First great news MOT pass,. Advisory play in steering rack inner O/S/F maybe is is the problem.
Can they be replaced or whole rack need replacing.

Do you have the front undertray in place? On German autobahn I think I could feel the difference.
