Bit of a trek from me, though, matey.
Even my favoured 'back street garage', run my a mother and son team in a small shed with one two post lift (mum does the paperwork and helps with stuff on MOTs) charge £75 per hour now. That's 50% more than I do and I work for billion euro companies, have 40 years experience and qualifications coming out of my ears.
My local BMW 'specialist' one man band (ex-BMW trained mechanic) charges £125 per hour (and won't fit supplied parts cos he wants the mark up). He's in his 40s and only works 3 days a week (cos he don't need the money). He has two 'holding' companies in his children's names, which filter profits.
I chose the wrong trade, obviously.
