What have you bought for your Zed this week?

Until today I only had 1 remote key for my 2002 Z3, however I now have 2, as picture.
I’d always been a little concerned about losing my only key, considering the key is NLA from BMW.
I contacted a guy I saw advertising in Scotland and he travelled to the North East where he cut and programmed a new remote key at my front door!
He travels all over the UK supplying and coding keys, he is called Boyd and his contact number is 07762 725041, I can vouch for him and is highly recommended.
My original key on the left, new key to the right!

Total cost £100, for an extra £20 I could have had a flip key but wanted to keep some originality.
and save 20 quid😂

Do you have a website or anything and is it only BMW keys?

I've had this on mine for a few years, been through a bit of paint and I smashed the centre section a few years back. When I had the respray 3 years ago the paint reacted on it and I never got it redone properly, I also scuffed it again a couple of months ago. Not long come back from the bodyshop after having the bonnet, bumper and splitter repaired and painted and it's looking fresh again.

Not the best pic but you get the idea! I love it, I think the Z3 really needs some sort of small lip on the bottom of the front bumper.

Bodyshop got the bumper alignment miles off as well :banghead:
Really do appreciate the feedback and yeah I go agreed about having something to just finish the front off ...

I treated mine to this,

Of course it will be shared with the oil burner. Summer took a day off today, it even snowed.

Looking good Tony 👍

Along with the foam canon I also bought some Autoglym paint restorer and Super Resin Polish, again shared with the oil burner. So it was lifted up to polishing height today.

You've done a good job there. I assume you're recommending that Super Resin? I have a bottle just not got round to using it yet.

But, as I've mentioned before, I'm liking your vehicle lift. I know it's mainly for working on the body and around the brakes etc. but could you, safely, work under the car? Change an exhaust for example?

I'll answer that after Saturday as we have a Z4 exhaust to change, amongst other things. Oh, and some butties to eat;).
The lift has a ratchet system to lock the height.

Tony.

ps. Yes the SRP is a great product, if you use the paint renovator or a clay bar to smooth the paintwork the polish buffs really easily.

Got to start somewhere Mick.:)

I bet my wallet would too .....................

New windscreen , mine was cracked.Autowindscreens fitted the new one today, but the none BMW rubber is not as neat as the original. I can live with it as the new clear screen is a bonus. The old one had loads of little chips after 114k miles. It has smoothed out a bit now, after this photo was taken.

A ride on a recovery truck. So much for limping to the garage this morning, it won't start at all now!

...A cheap radio/USB/SDCard player while I decide whether or not to get the Alpine stereo fixed.
An adhesive window radio aerial for above...
Turns out I needn't have bothered. I came home from a club meeting the other week- about 22:30, dry night and with the hood down.
I turned on the radio to a station that I listen to most of the time when out in our VX Grandland.
It really didn't add to the experience so I turned it off.

Some Halfords items, all free as had a few confused.com rewards and £5 off. Missing a laser magnet and claw, which they couldnt find-so have been in touch with customer service as their refund is less and an evoucher
