Help!! Anyone know how to remove wheel locks when the key is missing? I need to have the wheels removed from my TOO car before it's decontamination can be completed and shipping can take place. Any suggestions?? JIM

A BMW dealer will have a master set of security bolt keys. They will be able to remove them if a) they are original BMW bolts and b) you can get the car to a BMW dealer. HTH Jim.

Welded a bolt on mine
That looks as though the key is snapped of in that bolt Jim?. If so Hugh's suggestion would be my next one, also the heat from welding a bolt to it helps release it too.

Welding a bolt or nut on would be the best option but failing that, you could drill the head off. Start with a small drill dead centre on the bolt and work up to 12 mill. The head will come off and it should be easy to remove the remains after the wheel is off.

You can buy all sorts of locking nut removal sockets with various threads and patterns to grip and twist almost any nut it seems.
I've used some to remove some rather expensive locking nuts when my key got lost.
Not expensive and widely available online...probably explains how wheels get stolen so easily...

I'm not too far from your car mate, it looks like an OEM one, I've got about 6 of the different shapes, but there are loads of shapes.
The last one I had trouble with I hammered a slight different shape into it and then unbolted it.
Once you get one off you'll see the 'number' code on the end of the bolt

Looks standard bm to but as said there are may its a 14 spline bolt looking at the pic .As suggested either something persuaded into the splines or a welded bolt .
I have seen the kits too for removing these an a mobile alloy wheel refurb company may be of assistance they may have the means ???

There are special tools, the ones I've used are sharp, curved groves on a socket that you hammer onto the stuck nut, I've used them, got 2 off, then the tool snapped in half!

Good news Jim - out of interest which method was used to get them off?
@jonco A special socket was hammered on and the locks were easily removed after 45 min and £50. If the locks hadn't been removed the car could not have been properly decontaminated. And I would have likely sent it to @spurs fan in a coupe for breaking. Thanks for the offer to store for me Andy and hope the babes are doing well. JIM

Hopefully, they never included an invoice or bill of sale with the V5 as Sean has just informed me and they won't book the ship till they have copies of both so trying to contact the co. May need to phone if I don't hear back!
