Agreed, lots of people watch eBay auctions for reference to the market, just in case you get desperate and drop the price or just because it’s nice.
There are a myriad of reasons that people watch items on eBay and the sales on the site are dropping.
It’s an out of date, 10% charging dinosaur.
I have had people on this site claim they are “very interested” and then I never hear from them again.
I would put it on Autotrader or even Classic Cars.
On Autotrader the potential buyer is likely to do an area search that suits them, especially when they first look.
These more local buyers are more likely to arrange a viewing and by the looks of the condition of your car, make a genuine offer.
I have a very rare 2.2 San Remo that has been somewhat restored and newly repainted that I am selling next month and I won’t even bother with anywhere else than AT,Sadly It will most likely go to Europe as they appreciate the value of these cars.
Good luck and I really hope you get a price that you and your buyer are happy with.

Auction a big 'no no', put it on a 'Classified' whether it's ebay, Gumtree,Autotrader or local. Set a higher price (but sensible) than the minimum you will let it go for and only negotiate with someone who comes to see the car. That car should sell in no time,but only for what the market will pay. You see them advertised at very high prices,but do they make it? If you look at a lot of ads for similar cars it will give you a good idea of what to ask.Good luck.

Yes, unfortunately both are going.

The blue one has absolutely gutted me as I’ve spent a lot of time and money on it.

The grey one, I’m not so attached to and at 2k it’s a bloody bargain.
